Here I am on the day of the Summer Solstice writing my thoughts for July and beyond. It is always such a fascinating paradox to hold that as we move into the hottest days of the Summer the daylight hours are already getting shorter. I take that as Mother Nature's blessing saying, "I won't leave you out there baking in the Sun."
After yet another amazing rainstorm last night it is an uncharacteristically mild day in the Midwest. I'm sitting here listening to a CD titled, "Beyond: Buddhist And Christian Prayers." It is a collaboration of Tina Turner, Regula Curti and Dechen Shak-Dagsay. Some of the words shared are from the Persian poet/mystic, Rumi: "Beyond right and wrong there is a field. I meet you there."
Rumi's quote so deeply signifies and embodies all that I am learning and relearning right now. From a pure, clear heart there is only Love, Clarity, Compassion. There are no conditions, no problems, no fear-based separateness.
Here are some of the quotes and practices that vitally have my attention and focus right now:
Gandhi reminds us, "The future depends on what we do in the present." This man's Life irrevocably reminds me of the power of one. His Life, his work, his inspiration and vision freed an entire nation.
"Act as if" is a concept and practice I first heard as a college sophomore studying Psychology. I have intuitively and actively understood this concept and principle all my Life. When we are connected with our feeling of accomplishment there is nothing we can't bring into the physical. We are acting from the knowing it is already here. It's already ours.
Ho'oponopono, the ancient Hawaiian practice of reconciliation and forgiveness is a new learning for me. The four step process involves repeating the words: "I love you. I'm sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you." The order the words are spoken doesn't matter. Saying these words to ourselves, or Spirit, or another clears the Energy field. We are all individualized expressions of the One. The willingness to live from these words is transformative. We live from Confidence, Generosity, Magnanimity, Flexibility when we are willing to say these words. These states of Beingness are empowering and healing.
The Divine Grace prayer is a new practice to me too. I read about this practice in the July/August 2011 issue of Daily Word, which is Silent Unity's daily devotional magazine, which I read every day. Edward Conmey introduced the concept of Grace Points. The main Grace Point is the midpalm. Touching this point for 30-60 seconds while reciting the Divine Grace Prayer "activates the energy meridians in the body connected to the heart."
This next practice is very special to me because it is a knowing I address in my book, "Quantum Prayer: It's Already Answered!" The following words are taken from the CD, Beyond: "Go beyond fear...Singing takes us beyond fear." I love that knowing. Here again, when we are connected with our emotional brain we are living from the land of Solution. There is no fear. There is no fear-based separation. There is no "I can't do it" attitude. There is only the profound Knowingness of Oneness.
All of these practices remind me of the principles of HeartMath. As we focus on Appreciation we build a Consciousness of Gratitude and Awareness that is so calming, centering and empowering. Gratitude and Awareness embody Flexibility. Flexibility is Presence. I can't say often enough how transformative the spiritual quality of Flexibility is. There is such a state of Grace, Peace and Ease in that place of Flexibility.
Not surprisingly, out of Flexibility comes Prosperity. Prosperity is all about Flow and Generosity. One of my favorite Understandings came to me some years ago as, "My Faith is sufficient unto the day." So many times I have been penniless, truly not having a penny to my name, and yet I was calm and confident. Sometimes by necessity and by the Faith and Understanding that have come out of that I have invoked the Knowingness: "Ask and you shall receive pressed down, shaken together and running over." Over the years I have come to know and accept that I am deeply loved by the Universe and Its innumerable people. Time and again I have received help far beyond the spoken need.
Time and again I have spoken of my Understanding of living an "inside out" Life. I live by Integrity. I mean what I say. I say what I mean. I do what I say I'll do. People know I can be trusted. They honor that trust. When I need help I receive it.
This Knowingness is why I say in all sincerity, "It's not the economy, Sam." (Pun very much intended). Our Confidence in our own ability is what drives our Prosperity. Nothing else. That's why I titled this article: "The Sweet Life: You Are The Creator."
I absolutely know I have a Confidence and Understanding that millions don't have and yet I equally know we all have the capacity to know what we are willing to know. I've been on that very road for a long, long time. That's why I'm saying and doing what I've been saying and doing for years. I want everyone to have the Joy, Faith, Confidence and Understanding I have. The capacity is in all of us. The Spirit is in all of us.
It takes great Confidence to allow ourselves to be loved. I know that for sure. Perhaps that is the greatest Flexibility of all. To be loved we must take down the barriers we may not even realize we have in ironclad place. These barriers aren't keeping us safe. They're killing us. We must allow room for the principles of Ho'oponopono to lubricate the iron walls so they can fall away and we can free ourselves from our self-induced prison. The time is Now. One choice at a time we move toward the Sweet Life. I'll meet you there. Welcome to your expanded, empowered Sweet Life of Grace, Joy, Confidence and Flexibility. Your Presence absolutely Lights the world. You are so very needed, so very honored. Welcome. You are the ones we've been waiting for!!! Do you know that? I hope you do. It's true. "I love you. I'm sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you." Namaste!!!
