The Unitive Principle: The Sanctity Of Our Humanity!!! - December 2010

by Cathy Combs

Greetings, everyone!!! In case you missed this invitation in my November Newsletter my class begins Monday evenings December 6th, 13th, and 20th from 6:30-9pm at Unity Church Of Overland Park (corner of 103rd and Antioch). I'll be discussing the ideas underneath the ideas in my book, "Quantum Prayer: It's Already Answered! Quantum Reality: It Already Exists!"

This whole process continues to be such an exciting adventure. I realized yet again today what an active process prayer is! Any moment I don't just sit passively by as my day unfolds in front of me I actively call it forth into being. What do I want to see? Call it into being!!! It's already in Spirit. Call it into the physical!!! I felt the Joy in that Awareness. I felt my connection as the Creative Process!!!

I'm also in the process of planning a retreat based on my book. The retreat will be a Joy-filled experience of quantum prayer featuring music, singing, meditation, EFT, journaling and enjoying the beauty of Mother Nature in a beautiful local retreat center. Updates will be posted on my website.

As we move toward the Winter Solstice, the shortest day in our agricultural year, I want to recognize and celebrate the fact that all of our world's religions celebrate the birth of the Light in their own special ways during December. This fact is just one of the ways we honor the Unitive Principle.

In contemplating the Unitive Principle recently several realities that are very special to me came to mind that express just how HUGE we are as a physical Essence. The Greek word entheos, meaning in God, is the root word for enthusiasm. Even saying the word enthusiasm I feel the vastness of the Universe we are.

A picture I saw recently made it abundantly clear how vast the Universe is. The picture showed the Earth and seven other celestial bodies between us and Arcturus lined up in a row to outpicture the idea of size perspective.

Can you imagine the reality that the Earth, a celestial body 25,000 miles in circumference, isn't even visible from Arcturus?

Can you further imagine that Arcturus, a star in our heavens, is a billion light years away from Earth? Remember that light travels 186,000 miles per second! That means it takes light a billion years, traveling at 186,000 miles per second, to travel from Arcturus to Earth.

The synchronicity of these realities is very special to me. These bits of information came when I was trying to hold the paradox of very, very different worldviews and feeling tones. It is personal and it is universal. It is our question as a compassionate humanity.

In this season of great, great Joy it is undeniable that there is great, great sadness and perversity. I recently became aware of a story of a young man, a small built 18 year old African American male getting ready to go off to college who was stomped to death as he was leaving a party. He was minding his own business and yet he was stomped to death while a hundred other teenage witnesses stood by and did nothing.

Out of this inconceivable tragedy his mother has vowed to work to educate young people how to communicate rather than bully and kill each other. That takes great courage.

It is very sweet indeed that the root word for courage is heart. This devoted mother has said, "My son did not die in vain. He was a very special man."

I am highlighting this incident because it so clearly outpictures where we need to go to fully embody our reality of the Unitive Principle. We all come from Spirit. We are Spirit in the physical. In order to honor the sanctity of our humanity we must learn to honor ourselves, to honor our different views and live side by side as one, uniquely different and yet valued and valuable.

At work recently I had a very sweet moment with a dear friend. I had said to her how much I was learning about the reality "Call it all Good" and that it makes such a difference when I come from that perspective. She smiled sweetly and said, "Thank you, teacher. I needed that reminder." I smiled because I knew she understood the depth of what I was saying. She knew that I knew she was in a difficult place and that I wasn't being casual and uncaring about her situation.

These small intentional acts of kindness irrevocably change the entirety of the Universe. By contrast, the huge intentional or kneejerk acts of unkindness irrevocably change the Universe too.

Time and time and time again we are presented with moments where we face ourselves whether we're looking in a mirror at our own face or looking at someone else who somehow mirrors back to us aspects and realities of ourselves. We are asked time and time and time again: Who do we see? How will we respond?

In the work I do personally and universally I constantly ask myself what does it take to call it all Good? I absolutely know it takes: Great Confidence! Faith! Willingness! Courage! Compassion! Forgiveness! Insight! Understanding! Generosity! Joy! Heart!

What is your answer? I invite you to my classes, to my retreats, to all that I do. In this season of Joy and all that is I invite you into the largest unfolding perspective that you can hold and then some as we celebrate each new day as a boundless Reality of all that we are and all that we are becoming.

Namaste to you precious friends known and unknown. I celebrate the Unitive Principle. I celebrate you and me!!! I celebrate the sanctity of our humanity. I celebrate our growing Awareness of just how special we really are!!! Peace!!! I'm out!!! Love you much!!!!!!!!!
